Bev Brodie

Bev has 15 years of oil industry experience. In South Africa she was an Area Sales Manager for Zenex Oil (formerly Esso) with responsibility for both retail sites and wholesale customers in Natal. She subsequently held the role of Client Account Manager for Market Planning Solutions Inc., with a reporting line to the dollarpean business based in Bristol in the UK. In this role Bev provided training services in site-selection models to oil industry clients such as BP, Engen (Petronas) and Sasol Oil; she also held responsibility for national IT support and maintenance.

Bev emigrated from South Africa to New Zealand in 2002 and in 2009 she joined GAS as Area Manager - South with responsibility for the South Island. In addition to this, she also looked after a couple of sites in the Auckland region and the expanding network of unmanned retail fuel operations that GAS managed around New Zealand.  Bev currently manages the Auckland and Waikato regions.

She makes clear that she hates cooking but that she enjoys Krav Maga and shooting. Her education includes a Postgraduate Honours Degree in Psychology, as well as courses in web-design and firearms. The latter of these, together with the experience she gained as a Police Reservist in South Africa, ensures that all in the Head Office treat her with the respect she deserves… (all the time).
